The stretch of river that crosses this path is characterized by a bed of lava mainly flat but has several small waterfalls and Gurne particularly striking.
After the first 200 meters above Basalt is possible to reach a path that leads to the charming Byzantine Cuba erected between the seventh century and the ninth century.
Built entirely of lava stone and adorned with broken slabs and rain stones it is perhaps the most important Byzantine cuba present in Sicily. Cuba is surrounded by the vines of Etna and the river Alcantara.
Extremely panoramic lends jerky impressive photo.
